In December 2009, LiveLife launched Rilax Zzz®, a new improved Rilax formula for better sleep and relaxation in Kuala Lumpur. Offering a safe alternative sleep aid to pharmaceuticals, Rilax Zzz uses natural functional ingredients with scientifically proven benefits – so people can sleep well at night and wake up with energy and passion for life each day.
Sleep-related problems are a growing issue in our world today. In a survey conducted by AC Nielsen in 2005 on sleeping habits in Asia, Malaysia ranked 8th among night-owl nations, with 54 percent of us only falling asleep by midnight. The reasons for this are many, including long working hours, stress and too much coffee, alcohol, late-night TV and internet. Few people realize that this sleep deficit can be a serious threat to their health and well-being. Lack of sleep and not having quality each night can lead to a weakened immune system, bad skin, poor memory, loss of concentration and high blood pressure. It is reported that over 200 million people worldwide are affected by sleep disorders. In the USA alone, over 40 million Americans suffer from sleep problems.
“Being the active person that I am, I use to think that sleeping is a waste of time. But in actual fact, sleep is vital for our body’s organs to regenerate and repair themselves, and for our minds to lay down their memories and process the day’s information. It is the time when cell growth and cell repair takes place to combat the effects of stress. Thus, deep sleep is the best anti-ageing remedy around and leads to improved physical performance and greater emotional stability. Rilax Zzz has helped me on many occasions to have a deeper, more restful sleep. When I wake up in the mornings, I’m energized and recharged,” says Aileen Chan.

Thierry Foucher, a representative of the French ingredient Lactium, was also here to elaborate on a recent clinical study conducted in Tokyo on 32 subjects with insomnia. The study published in The Open Sleep Journal (2009;2) showed that Lactium helped a majority of participants to fall asleep faster, as well as significantly improve various aspects of sleep disorders.
